Matt Drudge on drudgereport.com is reporting that Rush has signed a deal through 2016 worth $400 million dollars. According to this report this places Rush well ahead of the big tv network earners. Wow… is rush the most powerful man in media?

A pretty slick move by Hillary or just avoiding reality?
In a recent conversation George Stephanopoulos pointed out that Rush encouraged Republicans to vote Clinton.

To that Hillary replied: “He’s always had a crush on me”

Let’s be honest, that was a good line. However, it’s amazing how much attention Rush’s Operation Chaos is getting. What a weird situation the Clinton’s are in right now. Imagine…. knowing that your talk-radio arch-rival is actually helping keep you in the race. A race that is tearing the Democrat party in two.

Well much has been made of Rush’s Operation Chaos. And why not… it seems like it’s working. Rush’s efforts to throw the Democrat party into complete Chaos by extending the nomination process as long as possible is something many conservatives seem to be enjoying - BUT - has Rush gone to far?

Some are claiming that Rush wants Riots to break out - ACTUAL RIOTS over this whole thing. In fact, on Rush’s own website, you can see a transcript where he discusses RIOTS with a caller.

So Rush Limbaugh is up to a little “mischief” these days…. He has devised a plan to perhaps pick the nominee for the Democrat party! Now I know this sounds impossible, but if you’ve been listening to him and listening to the news reports about what’s happening to the DEMs… it doesn’t seem to far fetched.

As most people know, Rush encouraged Republicans to start voting as Democrats in the primaries (or caucuses maybe) to try and extend the candidate-selection-process. He told people to vote Hillary - and it appears to have worked. Hillary got some of her momentum back and is staying in the race. What a RUSH impact! However, that’s apparently just the beginning. Rush laid out a 4 phase program for what he is calling OPERATION CHAOS. If I remember them correctly they go like this…

Phase 1: Encourage Republicans to vote Hillary to keep the Democrat race going. Mission Accomplished!
Pase 2: Keep the chaos going as long as possible.
Phase 3: Some “under-cover” ditto-heads will be (have been) named as Democrat delegates and will eventually go to the Democrat Convention.
Phase 4: Rush’s communication/IT staff is rigging up some equipment to provide to the ditto-head delegates so he can tell them which way to vote at the Convention. In theory, if it’s a close race at the final vote, Rush’s delegates could actually have enough votes to make the decision. THUS Rush is actually picking the Democrat Nominee.

Now is this whole thing a joke? Could it play out that way? Well…. it looks like phase 1 & 2 already have. Phase 3 is underway, so we might just see history in the making.

Welcome to the bizaro world known as the 2008 Presidential election. Rush Limbaugh appears on the O’Reilly factor (with guest host Laura Ingraham) to explain how/why he is encouraging people to vote for Hillary right now. Ok, so there is perhaps a method to his madness, but one might say - he’s just gone off the deep end? Or maybe he’s just relishing 4 years of future Clinton attacks on his radio show. Either way, Rush seems to be making some pretty serious waves this election season. Check it out…

Wow! Did you ever think you’d hear those words from Mr. Limbaugh? Well, if you don’t believe it - you can see it on his website at rushlimbaugh.com.

And if Rush is frustrated with the Republicans, you can bet that a whole bunch of people are. In fact the Republican party is driving conservatives nuts these days in a number of ways. Think about, what the republican party has done:

- $spending, $spending, $spending (ridiculous spending)
- did not stopped illegal immigration when they had a chance (and conservatives are screaming for it!)
- have been weak in fighting the war (at least in the beginning)

These are 3 huge examples, of how Republicans have failed. Maybe you can think of others?

While there is no word on Rush retiring, I started to ponder who will take over as King of Talk Radio when he does? Let’s consider who might be in the running:

Sean Hannity
Michael Savage
Glenn Beck
Dr. Laura
Bill O’Reilly

If you look at the top talk radio audiences according to talkers magazine, Sean certainly would seem to have the market cornered. He seems pretty tight with Rush from what I can gather, and surely he must be tired of being #2 (both in radio and TV).

Savage has quite an audience, and perhaps could find his way up the chart to #1, but I wonder if his personality is just a little too mean? Of course, depending on the culture - that may really help? The other thing to consider is: will he retire before Rush?

Glenn Beck is hot right now, claiming to actually be sitting at # 3 spot (for the key demographic I believe). Talkers magazine does not rate him this highly though. With his CNN Headline News TV show, he may be reaching brand new audiences - and could surge in the ratings. He has a ways to go though to reach Hannity.

Dr. Laura, seems an unlikely choice. In fact it’s almost shocking to me that she is in the running. Currently Talkers Magazine rates her at #4. It seems however, that her audience is very different than the other contenders, so she may not be impacted by the same forces - maybe this is an advantage?

Finally, Bill O’Reilly. Don’t count this guy out. When I used to listen to his show a year or 2 ago, I found it difficult. He seems to be better lately, and remember… he is often in the same time slot.

So I ask you…. who will be the next KING of Talk?
